A global provider of complex electronic manufacturing in Westford, MA is looking to hire a 3rd shift Wave Solderer. This is a long-term contract position.
Responsibilities for the Wave Solderer:
- Set-up, operate and maintain Wave Solder, Solder Station, In Line Aqueous cleaner and other equipment used in the assembly of printed circuit boards.
- Inspect each assembled printed circuit board before and after solder operations to ensure compliance to IPC solderability standard.
- Perform basic levels of maintenance following established procedures; and assist maintenance technicians as required.
- Interface with complex machine hardware and software.
- Ensure proper handling of controlled materials routinely used in the wave solder process. Follow established safety guidelines.
- Maintain cleanliness of equipment and surrounding work area.
- Follow written and verbal instructions and maintain data logs.
- Participate in quality meetings.
- Other responsibilities as required and necessary for the business.
Requirements of the Wave Solderer:
- Experience in Wave Solder Equipment Operation.
- Experience in the proper handling of controlled materials used in the wave solder process.
- Knowledge of component handling, including ESD requirements.
- Ability to communicate effectively with other groups.
