Technical Writer - Temp to Hire 

 Leading supplier of processing and packaging equipment solutions to the food industry in St. Canton, MA is looking for a Technical Writer. This is a temp to hire position. 
 
Responsibilities of the Technical Writer:
  • Creating user manuals with assistance from engineers.
  • User manuals to include operating instructions, troubleshooting guides, bills of materials, and spare parts lists.
  • Developing technical engineering documents including product data sheets, new product releases.
  • Create assembly instructions.
  • Properly file all documentation to be used by other departments.
  • Assist with entering part and assembly information into our ERP system.
  • Assist engineering as needed with general administration tasks.
 
Requirements of the Technical Writer:
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel PowerPoint
  • Technical writing
  • Working in an engineered to order environment.
  • Viewing and reading engineered drawings.
  • Inventory management system / MRP software
  • Additional skills not required to be qualified for the job. 
    • AutoCAD / Draftsight 2D CAD experience
    • Solidworks 3D Cad
    • Solidworks EPDM
    • Microsoft SharePoint
    • Wrike or other similar project management software.
    • Someone who has experience with mechanical tech writing and can talk technically with engineers ideally with some experience with AutoCad or Solidworks is helpful.
