Senior Planner - Direct Hire

Leading electronics manufacturer in New Milford, CT is looking for a Senior Planner / Scheduler to join their growing team. This is a direct hire opportunity.

Responsibilities of the Senior Planner:
  • Manage creation of and/or organize a production schedule on a daily basis while making sure that every output (level) is recorded appropriately and correctly.
  • Sets and finalizes project plans.
  • Work hand-in-hand with employees to make sure that all issues that are related to scheduling are properly handled and resolved.
  • Participate in vendor management so as to make sure that the company’s supply needs are adequately met in a timely manner.
  • Rectify and/or reconcile differences and inaccuracies that have to do with shipment and deliveries to customers.
  • Make sure schedules are given to employees in a timely fashion and that any distortions in the company’s schedule are accounted for always.
  • Ensure that every employee involved in the production process has a clear understanding of what is required to meet the order and needs of customers.
  • Maintain different reporting systems to make sure that all forms of documentation are accurate and also timely.
  • Allocate/set budgets according to sales orders and production capacity to meet on time delivery.
  • Create, monitor, document and maintain production schedules and progress.
  • Identify deficiencies in the manufacturing process.
  • Develop and apply Lean Manufacturing concepts and tools.
  • Request support from design engineering and operations management to ensure successful project completion.
  • Allocate budgets appropriately to operations.
  • Conduct time studies to help set process standards.

 Requirements of the Senior Planner:
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in manufacturing. Operations engineering functions a plus.
  • Must have related experience in fields like supply chain, project management, or business management.
  • Must be proficient with software such as Microsoft Project and other MRP and ERP systems. Epicor is a plus.
  • Engineer tool/program knowledge a plus
  • Engineer degree a plus
