Sr Tax Analyst - Milford, MA
The Sr. Tax Analyst will assist in the development and implementation of business strategies and compliance. As a member of the tax team, the Senior Sales Tax Analyst will be a Business Partner with the America’ s finance team to proactively assist, assess, and recommend the appropriate actions to Sales Tax Leadership and other members of Senior Management.

You will manage Sales & Use Tax Audits and work directly with the Lease Division to assist with all issues related tax on leases. Participate in other Tax projects as needed.

Pay: $85K-94K DOE
Location: Milford, MA

Responsibilities:

General Finance /Compliance:
  • Responsible to the daily workflows of all Lease activity as it related to sales tax and compliance.
  • Review and analyze a group of tax reconciliations monthly.
  • Review and analyze taxability of a group of purchases and fixed assets accounts for compliance reporting.
  • Analyzes feasibility and recommend initiatives to streamline sales/use tax processes.
  • Perform hands-on detailed data research and analysis of large financial data sets, including investigating, troubleshooting, and resolving discrepancies.
  • Tax compliance projects as needed.

State Audits:
  • Coordinate with the finance and business leaders of our corporate business segments to obtain the required information for the preparation of sales tax audits.
  • Run and make available all reports needed to complete each audit.
  • Work directly with State Auditors.

Customer Tax Compliance:
  • Assist with AR Disputes related to tax corrections.
  • Actively research Sales Tax Exemption problems, issues, process improvements and propose solutions.
  • Providing subject matter expertise and keep other cross-functional team members fully informed of Sales Tax Exemption problems or business process changes.

Qualifications:
  • Superior technical skills in sales and use tax principals and laws.
  • Strong project management skills: ability to work both independently on multiple assignments while maintaining top quality deliverables.
  • Must be available for month end closings.

Education and Experience:
  • BA in finance or accounting and 8+ years’ experience in direct sales & use tax compliance, MST is a plus.
  • Experience with multi state sales & use tax background in a large corporate environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including working knowledge of system tools such as or like (SAP, Great Plains, OneSource Tax compliance, Avalara Certificate Management systems).
