Job Description:
Quality Technicians perform inspection of work in progress and finished goods visually and dimensionally using established standards. Requires use of fixtures, micrometers, calipers, gages and measurement tools to perform inspection. Must have high attention to detail and be comfortable making decisions to accept or reject product. Technicians work on the manufacturing floor with Production Operators to perform inspection and will train Operators to recognize acceptable and unacceptable product.
Responsibilities:
• Recognize and report nonconformance and perform quality inspections
• Ensure products meet established quality standards visually and dimensionally using fixtures, micrometers, calipers, and gages
• Review & approval batch/job paperwork (Job Start Up & Job Closing)
• Make product quality accept/reject decisions based on established specifications and quality standards
• Understand and read product drawings and customer specifications
• Participate in continuous improvement projects
• Assist with quality troubleshooting efforts
Qualifications:
• 1-3 years quality assurance experience in a manufacturing environment
• 2 year Associates/Technical Degree (preferred, not required)
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience working in a regulated industry
• Good understanding of GMP/GDP
