Quality Inspector - 1st Shift

Leading sealing systems designs is looking to hire in Wilton, NH a Quality Inspector on 1st shift. This is a temp to hire opportunity in a growing company!

Pay Rate of the Quality Inspector: 
$21.00/hr

Hours of the Quaity Inspector: 
7:30AM - 4PM
Responsibilities of the Quality Inspector:
  • Performs inspections of SHP products and materials to determine conformance with specifications.
  • Read and understand detailed mechanical drawings and nomenclature. Must understand types of measurement and measurement terminology.
  • Handle and accurately measure dimensions using micrometers, calipers, drop-gauges, pin gauges, optical comparators, and test blocks and functional gauges. Some of the parts being inspected are very small and require handling and measurement with tweezers.
  • Ability to use a microscope for extended periods included to performing visual inspections of plated product (nickel, gold, and silver) to insure the plated surfaces do not have inclusions blisters, and voids as well as looking for the presence of burrs and other machining anomalies.
  • Process associated inspection documentation (including generating & competing detailed inspection reports, process tags, rework tags and nonconforming material documents).
  • All other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Requirements of the Quality Inspector: 
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Must have a minimum of 2 year inspection experience in a detail oriented manufacturing environment measuring and inspecting small, detailed machined and plated parts and assemblies.
  • Knowledge and skilled in the use of standard mechanical measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and drop gauge indicators. Also, familiar with functional gauges, test rigs, and electrical instruments such as OHM meters and Hi-Pot testers.
  • Ability to read detailed mechanical drawings, specifications and inspection instructions.
  • A general knowledge of ASME Y 14.5M, with a working knowledge of GD&T is a plus.
  • Must understand traceability (product, material and calibration)
  • Must have a strong knowledge of basic, mathematical operations (i.e. add within tolerance).
