Our premier client is a leader in contract manufacturer working on some very cool cutting edge products!
They are seeking a Product Engineer who wants to be the primary customer contact for New Product Launch (NPL) activities. Responsible for all manufacturing processes, materials, and tooling to ensure that products are assembled to customer expectations.
- Identify and take ownership of strategic department / business goals and objectives, leading these activities to successful completion
- Review current department procedures and practices for quality and efficiency
- Lead teams to measure, change, and implement system level improvements
- Serve as Engineering Manager back up as required
- Perform Management level tasks as required
- Serve as a mentor for lower level Engineers
- Take full manufacturing responsibility, leading products through prototype, pilot and production builds
- Provide product design reviews to customers (DFX)
- 4 year Engineering or Technical degree preferred or equivalent
- 8+ years of manufacturing engineering experience with highly complex technical projects
- 5+ years of experience leading technical projects and cross-functional strategic initiatives
- Ability to travel up to 20% of the time, including day or overnight travel as required
