A manufacturing company located in Newnan, GA is looking to add a Product Development Engineer to their growing team. This is a direct hire position with excellent benefits.
Responsibilities of the Product Development Engineer:
- Manages the product development phases to reach targets in terms of quality and costs
- Supports the team during the part development phase and if necessary, contributes with their competencies and experience
- Help to Develop design validation plan
- Ensures that design reviews and design FMEAs are organized, carried out, and moderated according to guidelines and associated timing
- Responsible for feasibility analysis and proposal of project modifications in case of concept deviations or non-respect of technical specifications
- •Monitors the part’s development to ensure quality, respect of the timing, budgeted costs, and legal aspects
- Project budget management (cost/tooling) with cost planning group, cost down activity.
- BOM management.
Qualifications of the Product Development Engineer:
- 5+ years’ experience in full project development cycles
- BS degree in Mechanical Engineering
- CAD experience
- Full PD Lifecycle experience
- Experience with PPAP's
- Mechanical Aptitude
