Product Development Engineer - Great Opportunity

A manufacturing company located in Newnan, GA is looking to add a Product Development Engineer to their growing team. This is a direct hire position with excellent benefits. 

Responsibilities of the Product Development Engineer:
  • Manages the product development phases to reach targets in terms of quality and costs
  • Supports the team during the part development phase and if necessary, contributes with their competencies and experience
  • Help to Develop design validation plan
  • Ensures that design reviews and design FMEAs are organized, carried out, and moderated according to guidelines and associated timing
  • Responsible for feasibility analysis and proposal of project modifications in case of concept deviations or non-respect of technical specifications
  • •Monitors the part’s development to ensure quality, respect of the timing, budgeted costs, and legal aspects
  • Project budget management (cost/tooling) with cost planning group, cost down activity.
  • BOM management.

Qualifications of the Product Development Engineer:
  • 5+ years’ experience in full project development cycles
  • BS degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • CAD experience
  • Full PD Lifecycle experience
  • Experience with PPAP's
  • Mechanical Aptitude
