Well-known provider of consulting engineering services in Norcross, GA is looking a Plant Layour Design Engineer. This is a temp to hire opportunity in a growing company.
Responsibilities of the Plant Layout Design Engineer:
- Leading, performing, and overseeing specific project tasks related to mechanical and material handling design.
- Performing equipment sizing calculations
- Creation of equipment, project, and material specifications.
- Experienced use of AutoCAD and other 3D design programs to produce construction documents.
- Performing field verifications of new designs and existing environments.
- Collecting existing information and interpreting data.
- Creation of reports, project summaries and recommendations.
- Developing projects from initial design concepts through construction.
- Coordinating with other disciplines to generate project goals for the client.
- Providing onsite construction assistance.
Qualifications of the Plant Layout Design Engineer:
- BSME or BSMET
- 5-10 years minimum experience in a Design Engineering role, for material handling projects
- High Proficiency in CAD design and Design Standards
- Ability to Travel as needed ~20%.
