Job Description


Mechanical Design Engineer
DAVIS is partnering with a leading manufacturing firm in Gainesville to hire a full time Mechanical Engineer with a strong background in 2D and 3D design and production drawings for metal products. 

Responsibilities:
  • Work in a fast paced, production driven, build-to-order environment.
  • Work independently and as part of a team as necessary to achieve project goals.
  • Create conceptual layouts of equipment.
  • Perform engineering calculation and analysis.
  • Create and/or revise part and assembly drawings and documentation for new and
  • modified products. (2D and 3D CAD)
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Create and/or modify Bills of Materials.
  • Test and validate new designs.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or comparable degree and 3+ years of experience.
  • Experience working with, and mounting equipment on, truck and/or trailer chassis.
  • Extensive experience with metal fabrication processes.
  • Experience in hydraulic systems.(preferred)
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD and Inventor
