Material Handler - Flexible Shifts
Our client is currently leading a search for a Material Handler to join our organization in Franklin, MA. In this contract role, the individual will perform a variety of material handling duties with emphasis on Picking and Packing on the assigned shift in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
Flexible Shift Options: 7am- 3:30pm OR 11am-7:30pm
Responsibilities of the Material Handler:
- Manifesting and Creating Deliveries to ensure the prompt, accurate processing of customer orders.
- Picking and Packing Domestic and International shipments.
- Preparing shipments for Trade Shows.
- Packing Hazardous Materials for Transportation.
- Receiving finished goods.
- Misc. duties assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications of the Material Handler:
- At least 2+ years' experience in a warehouse environment, High School graduate, GED or equivalent.
- Ability to operate material handling equipment – Forklift, Stockpicker, Pallet Jack, Hand Truck, and Step Ladder.
- Basic math skills with emphasis on addition and subtraction.
- Familiar with warehouse safety procedures.
- Good communication skills including the ability to work in a team environment, and to follow and exchange verbal and written instructions.
- Administration skills including the ability to organize and record data neatly and accurately by paying close attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize workload.
- Able to work overtime on short notice during peak workload periods.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
