Material Handler - Flexible Shifts

Our client is currently leading a search for a Material Handler to join our organization in Franklin, MA. In this contract role, the individual will perform a variety of material handling duties with emphasis on Picking and Packing on the assigned shift in a fast-paced warehouse environment. 

Flexible Shift Options: 7am- 3:30pm OR 11am-7:30pm

Responsibilities of the Material Handler:
  • Manifesting and Creating Deliveries to ensure the prompt, accurate processing of customer orders.
  • Picking and Packing Domestic and International shipments.
  • Preparing shipments for Trade Shows.
  • Packing Hazardous Materials for Transportation.
  • Receiving finished goods.
  • Misc. duties assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications of the Material Handler:
  • At least 2+ years' experience in a warehouse environment, High School graduate, GED or equivalent.
  • Ability to operate material handling equipment – Forklift, Stockpicker, Pallet Jack, Hand Truck, and Step Ladder.
  • Basic math skills with emphasis on addition and subtraction.
  • Familiar with warehouse safety procedures.
  • Good communication skills including the ability to work in a team environment, and to follow and exchange verbal and written instructions.
  • Administration skills including the ability to organize and record data neatly and accurately by paying close attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize workload.
  • Able to work overtime on short notice during peak workload periods.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
