Maintenance Technician – 1st Shift

A leader metal company is looking for a skilled Maintenance Technician in the North Georgia area. This is a great opportunity to join a well-established manufacturer. This person will be responsible for PM work of current machines as well as installation of new machinery when needed. This is a temp to hire opportunity

1st shift: 6:00am – 2:30pm Mon.-Fri. OT as needed. (Might be every other Saturday)
Pay Rate: $28+ DOE.

Responsibilities of the Maintenance Technician:
  • Work from MLS work orders and record labor and inventory transactions in MLS.
  • Disassemble, repair or replace worn or defective parts or mechanisms and reassemble machinery and equipment such as punch presses, shear, lathe, drill press, balancers. welders, saws, grinders, milling machines, conveyors, air compressors and other equipment operated in the plant.
  • Fabricate and prepare new equipment or modify old equipment.
  • Perform plant rearrangement including setting up and moving rack systems, running air, gas, and water lines and other tasks associated with plant layout.·
  • Perform preventative maintenance as instructed by supervisor.
  • Repair and maintain plant systems including air and plumbing.
  • Other duties assigned.
