Human Resources Generalist - Direct Hire 

Leading electronic component manufacturer is looking to hire a Human Resources Generalist to join their team in New Milford, CT. This is a direct hire opportunity! 

Responsibilities of the Human Resources Generalist:
  • Administer all corporate employee benefit plans including health and welfare programs, dental plan, STD, LTD, AD&D, FMLA, leave programs, tuition reimbursement, and 401(k) plan.
  • Help Manage the annual merit cycle
  • Help gather information needed for audits
  • Process payroll on a weekly basis 
  • Communicate with benefit vendors, as necessary
  • Update employee changes to all necessary parties i.e., Payroll, vendors, HR staff, etc.
  • Conduct periodic audits of benefit plans to ensure accuracy of all data. 
  • Analyzes data and makes recommendations to the management team for corrective action and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure accuracy of all benefits billings and provide to accounts payable in a timely fashion 
  • Resolve employee questions and concerns
  • Design, plan and conduct new employee orientation including benefits communication and enrollment.
  • Administer corporate travel program. Ensure employee profiles are accurately set up.
  • Continuously look for travel savings i.e. flights, car rentals, hotel reservations, etc.
  • As a member of the HR Team, other duties as assigned.
Requirements of the Human Resources Generalist:
  • BA in related field (relevant experience may be substituted)
  • 2-4 years as an HR Generalist
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint )
  • Previous HRIS experience (SAP, Oracle, ADP, Paychex), Oracle experience preferred.
  • Understanding of relevant benefits legislation such as ADA, FMLA, ERISA and Section 125.
  • Knowledge of current State and Federal Wage, Employment Laws and HR policies and procedures.
