Job Description
Final Assembler - 1st Shift
Are you a hands-on individual with a passion for detail? If so, this temp to hire position is for you! A world leader in the automotive sector is looking for a skilled Electro-Mechanical Assembly Technician to join their team in the Forsyth County area.
Shift of the Final Assembler:
Monday - Friday: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
Pay Rate of the Final Assembler:
$19-20 per hour depending on experience
Responsibilities of the Final Assembler:
- Assemble parts or units, and position, align, and fasten units to assemblies, subassemblies.
- Use hand tools and power tools.
- Read and interpret schematics, diagrams, blueprints, specifications, work orders, bills of materials, or reports.
- Measure parts to determine tolerances (calipers, micrometers).
- Drill, tap, ream, countersink, and bolt holes in parts, using drill presses and portable power drills.
- Align, fit, or assemble component parts.
- Inspect parts for surface defects.
- Clean parts and work area.
Requirements of the Final Assembler:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Must be able to read schematics and blueprints.
- Familiarity with using wire strippers, cutting tools, screwdrivers, and nut drivers.
- Familiarity with electronic wiring conventions.
- Knowledge of basic electronic components {diodes, capacitors, etc.) and their polarity markings, handling, and installation.
- Knowledge of wire types, terminals, connectors, mil-connectors, and crimpers.
