Assembly Process Technician

Contract manufacturing company in Alpharetta, GA has an immediate opening for an Assembly Process Technician. This is a temp to hire position.

Shift of the Assembly Process Technician:
Monday - Friday 7:30AM - 4:30PM 

Responsibilities of the Assembly Process Technician:
  • Systematic problem solving and optimization of all assembly-related tasks (man-machine, method, environment, material).
  • Independent optimization of assembly processes
  • Improvement of work processes and their organization
  • Independently implement sustainable corrective measures in the event of repeat errors, including root cause analyses
  • Ensure smooth restarts according to internal specifications.
  • Preparation and implementation of workshops
  • Qualification of assembly systems and peripherals
  • Independent documentation of all changes
  • Participation in the processing of complaints
  • Develop and Publish Work Instructions for all Assembly and Testing operations.
  • Perform time studies of work cells and or assembly routines.

Qualifications of the Assembly Process Technician:
  • Knowledge as imparted during a 3-year technical apprenticeship, e.g. mechatronics technician, industrial mechanic, electronics technician, and extended by relevant further training to become a technician or master craftsman.
  • This role requires specialized knowledge and experience in assembly process mechanics.
  • Good knowledge of general production and assembly processes
  • Good knowledge of process technology (manual and automated production processes)
  • Good IT user skills (NetSuite, MS Office)
  • Very good technical understanding
  • English skills (spoken & written)
  • Performance and design motivation
  • Action orientation, conscientiousness and flexibility
  • Sensitivity and contact ability
  • Sociability and team orientation
  • Emotional stability, resilience and self-confidence
  • Good knowledge of quality methods and standards
  • Analytical thinking
  • Problem-solving techniques, even under changing conditions
  • Ability to transfer expertise to new situations.
  • High School Education, non-GED,prefer Technical College Associates Degree 
  • Three (3) years working in a Assembly Operation or equivalent Process Tech role.
