The primary responsibility of this position is to assemble infrared pyrometers for technicians by completing the assembly and test procedures to the specifications of each order. The primary responsibility of this position is to assemble infrared pyrometers for technicians by completing the assembly and test procedures to the specifications of each order. Since all our products are built to order, this involves both batch assembly and final assembly tasks. Essential job responsibilities include:
Responsibilities of the Assembler:
- Maintain inventory of batch parts – involves both mechanical and circuit board assembly tasks
- Assist with material planning by checking stock levels and communicating parts requirements to purchasing
- Kit materials for orders
- Assemble product per bill of materials and assembly drawings
- Complete customization of circuit boards by soldering components
- Complete assembly of mechanical accessories – some machining of materials may be required
Qualifications of the Assembler:
- 2+ years of related work experience
- Ability to communicate in English and work effectively as part of the production team
- Familiarity with electrical components, printed circuit boards, and assembly documentation
- An aptitude to work with soldering equipment, machine shop tools, and volt meters
- Experience work with windows based PC applications.
- An ability to multi-task and be flexible to adjust to changing priorities with the production schedule
- An ability to learn and apply new skills in order to learn all of the different assembly tasks
- A commitment to quality work, meeting deadlines, and doing things right
